This unit applies to working under routine supervision and may involve operating in a team environment with deference to elders.
Note: For Indigenous cultural places, the delivery and assessment against this standard must comply with community protocols and guidelines and be supported by elders and custodians of country.
This unit covers the process of maintaining cultural places as instructed by supervisors and defines the standard required to: assess the level of work required to maintain the cultural place; carry out maintenance activities in accordance with organisational and cultural requirements; report deterioration or damage to place; report incidents of breaches of legislation including vandalism.

Cultural places may include: | areas of non-indigenous activity buildings and other structures natural areas of indigenous cultural significance, historical events and monuments areas of indigenous activity such as burial, occupation and contact sites, engravings, grinding grooves, sacred trees, rock pictures, fish traps, middens and mounds. |
